  Note	who was raised by her aunt Ruth Wilbur Hitchcock, wife of Horaces elder brother, James. James moved his family to Humphery NY in 1831/2, where it is assumed Horace and Amy were eventually married. Horace and Amy then went to Michagan after hearing from friends it was a good place to live. However, after the death of thier first son, who was born 12/31/1848 and died there 8/20/1849, Amy insisted on returning to Humphery. Horace became a prosperous farmer on the Five Mile, Alleganey.
